Tomb Raider I-III REMASTERED
Design, 3D modeling, Rendering, Marketing, and Production.
Using the official models and textures, I prepared assets for the production of 3 polygonal mini-figures of Lara—1 from each of the first three games in the series.
I also took the official gun model, added detail where I could, and cut it in half to add into a shadow box. Then, using the textures as a base, made a series of “pixel” stencils to mimic the look of the low-fidelity in-game guns. The finished shadow box has display lights above the pair of pistols, and a brass plate to identify the weapons as Lara’s iconic pistols.
My goal with the Collector’s Edition box was to make it feel like an in-universe relic. The stonework and embellished gold-plated glyphs were all done in 3D using Substance Designer—rendering out high resolutions images to apply to the final print template. The result is a tangible, realistic “artifact”, with highlights rolling across the gold flaked surfaces.
For this release, I also laid out the marketing banners in 3D — showcasing the included assets in the Collection.
